About FairFix

A family of carpenters

A family of carpenters — Corey, Tommy and Kyle. One call, all trades.

Qualified · Fully insured · Free quotes

Our pop was a carpenter for fifty years. All three of us ended up on the tools.

I’m Corey — qualified carpenter, Certificate III, twenty years on the tools. I framed on the Crowne Plaza build in Hobart, spent years framing homes through Caulfield and Melbourne’s east, and did the residential work down through Primrose Sands and the coastal towns where your name travels with the job. FairFix is built on a simple promise: quality work at a fair price, done properly the first time. If I wouldn’t put it in my own house, it doesn’t go in yours.

The brothers

The brothers

My younger brothers, each bring their own sets of trade skills to the job when it calls.

  • Corey

Qualified carpenter, twenty years. Runs FairFix and every job on it. The one you call.

  • Tommy

    Qualified carpenter.

Formwork and concrete, ten years. Ran formwork on some of the biggest pours in Hobart's CBD. After that, a house slab is a good day.

  • Kyle

    Qualified carpenter.

Residential carpenter, eleven years. Feature walls, slat screens, timber ceilings, the fine decorative work. Brought in for the jobs that call for it.

Where Tommy’s worked

Formwork on some of the biggest jobs in the state — running crews before he was twenty-five.

The crew

The crew

Multi-stage jobs — a deck with lighting, a kitchen with plumbing and power, a reno that needs the lot — one call and one schedule. I book the trades, they turn up, you deal with me.

  • Brad and the HIB team do the electrical on my jobs — power and lighting, heating and cooling, solar. Quick to quote, on site when they say.

  • Tom's family business has been plumbing Hobart since 1946. Drainage, stormwater, hot water, gas, renovation plumbing — sorted alongside my carpentry.

  • Tommy — formwork and concrete carpenter, on site

    Formwork & concrete

    Tommy

My brother. Ten years in formwork and concrete — brought in when a job needs a slab, footings or walls done properly, and he brings the concreters he's poured with for years.

  • Kyle — residential carpenter, on the tools

    Custom interiors

    Kyle

My brother. Eleven years residential carpentry — brought in for feature walls, timber ceilings and the fine decorative work.

  • Jacob's crew — interior, exterior, new builds and re-paints. One of the biggest painting outfits in the south.

  • Jake's crew — tired roofs made new. See the before and after in the workshop.

  • Corey, who does the plastering on FairFix jobs

    Plastering

I do the plaster myself — years of it on the tools, from the hospital job down.

How we work

  • Fixed price before work starts
  • One call, one schedule, one contact
  • Where a job needs a builder’s contract, we bring a builder into the job and I stay your one point of contact
  • Photos of every job, a review asked at every handover

Great price

had Corey complete some carpentry work for me and the quality was outstanding. His attention to detail, professionalism, and workmanship were excellent from start to finish. Having also worked alongside him, I know how much pride he takes in his craft and how committed he is to delivering a high-quality result. I'd have no hesitation recommending him to anyone looking for a reliable carpenter in Tasmania.

Wow! Fast quote, job done quick which kept the labour costs down. Im a single lady and feel ive been ripped off before as I know nothing of the pricing etc in this field. Im going through this business everytime for future jobs. I doesnt hurt either to be dealing with people that are kind and thoughtful of the economy we are all living in. Wrapped with their integrity!
